This set of boardgames helps students to practice their understanding of numbers. In this board game students move around the board and have to name the number they land on. This is great practice for number recognition. Remember there is a difference between number recognition and number identification. Number recognition is when students are shown a number and they have to name it. Number recognition is when students are given a series of number and they have to choose which  one is the named number. Number identification is much more difficult.

Board games are a great way to practice facts. There are different types of boardgames. Some provide visuals and others do not. These boardgames help students to practice concepts in different ways. As they play the game they can use tools and models to help them (such as a number line or counters).  With these partner or group board games students can practice many things like naming the number before or after.

In this game students are looking at an identifying the number they land on.
